Without exception we all live busy lives but most of us always have the valuable time for some peaceful and enjoyable bird watching at home. We spend countless hours at work and less for ourselves and our family members. From time to time all of us definitely need to give our-selves just a little time to draw in some fresh air. Many of us prefer to have a walk in the park or even touch the flowers and delight in nature's wonders.

When I was still younger my grandmother would always tell me to find the time to count the stars. At first it was a puzzle for me as I did not really understand. I presumed what she meant was practically to count the stars after dark which I thought was strange.

But when I became older and started working hard I then realized what she meant. Later on I got myself a lot of hobbies that I could often spend my time on. This generally happened when I was not connected with my work. One of these simple hobbies is wild bird watching in the countryside or nearest woodlands.

Bird watching is not such a common hobby for a lot of people. Many people assume that watching birds is only for specialists or scientists who do so for the purpose of study. However that it is an activity that can be enjoyed, not only by one individual, but also by the whole family.

I used to watch birds at home alone. But later I realized that it was a lot more fun if used this time with someone else. Now I go birding together with some friends, my family or whoever is available at the time. If you are in the beginning stages then make sure you buy some good bird watching books to help you along with tough identifications.

One of the many advantages of bird watching in my local area is that it is not expensive. What We have to pay for is the expenses for transportation and food. I can do this activity for one whole day or spend days doing the work with a friend. Having this hobby often helps discharge the stress from job.

The chirping of the birds and the wonderful colors of their feathers is such an amazing sight to see. Not many of us enjoy this kind of beauty that nature has to offer. I for one was never interested in the idea of bird watching at first.

Others prefer to have hobbies collecting material things that they can maintain and brag about to their friends. I prefer something unique and that has a much deeper sense of value, which connects me personally closely to the world that I live in.
