Kick start your own coaching program – Intro

I’m going to give you a general overview on how you can start your own coaching program professionally and turn it into a highly profitable “niche” business. You’ll learn how to explode your lucrative business and take it to the greater heights.

Why you should consider coaching as another lucrative source of income and opportunities?

Because this is one of the easiest ways to go high ticket with your current product or service. For example: you’re teaching people how to train Dogs and you currently have a blog, some eBooks’, maybe a membership site on that niche and you’re selling it purely online. However there are certainly some people who prefer to be mentored in person on this and they have the money to afford to do so. So you can charge premium prices for your own personal time and personalized services.

Now according to one informer survey at Ask500.com, there’s a survey that included 500 participants on asking “What is the preferred method of learning?” While I do not have the statistics with me right now, majority of them preferred to be mentored either in group coaching or on a one-on-one basis compared to studying home study courses or reading E-books. So there’s a lucrative opportunity in being a coach and passing out your skills on a one-on-one or group coaching basis.

Now not everybody will be able to afford that but you only need a few clients to make up for your time. Therefore you only need a few clients compared to selling tens or hundreds of copies of your eBook for the same amount of income. For example, if you are selling a $24 eBook and on the other hand you’re able to teach client skills for let’s just say $490 per head, that’s equivalent to selling 20 copies of your products for each person/ Sometimes it can be more than that ratio. What about small groups?

The monetary opportunities aside, there are also networking opportunities. You can create your own close team of like-mind individuals who share your ideas and are champions of your course. For example again, if you’ve discovered an original idea or concept like let’s just say ‘How to date man’, and your concept is considered revolutionary you can put your name or trademark on it. So when you start teaching individuals how to do the same, you can actually name it and market the method under your name .

This way you can also reach out to change some areas in people’s lives. Now you don’t have to change everything in a person’s life. But if you manage to help people improve their lives a little bit in one area, that’s very good and people are willing to pay top dollar for what matters to them most. This is why self-improvement coaches are quite wealthy because they help people in self-improvement areas like confidence building, public speaking, anger management and so on.

However coaching students come with a price and some ‘disadvantages’ of coaching.

Obvious it’s time and effort consuming because you’re training on a one-on-one basis or in small groups. And since it’s going to be time and effort consuming, you only have limited available hours in a day.

This also means that the amount of clients you can take on is small. At the most you can coach a group of people at different period of times. Bit with too many groups and too many students your attention can become too diluted.

Not forgetting to mention also that your patience and people skills would be tested and challenged. Now coaching people can be a very interesting experience. I have spoken and talked to many coaches from various areas like sports, business consultants and even fitness coaches. They tell me a lot of interesting stories of how they meet some certain people and people who put their patience to the test, people who just don’t want to follow your program, people who are stubborn or have a problem helping themselves. So your patience and people skills would definitely be tested and challenged.

However you will learn how to solve these problems. However you must meet key criteria’s before you adopt the idea of starting your own coaching program. Starting a coaching program isn’t something you can just get into this business and get out of it any time you want. It’s a commitment. We will discuss some key criteria’s in our next post

Cold Calling Strategy From The Past

Have you heard of the word – ‘cold calling’? Have you ever wondered why people used the term ‘cold calling’? Because you will most probably receive a ‘chilly’ response from the other side!

Let’s be totally honest with ourselves here. You don’t like to receive a call from a stranger (unless you are extraordinarily friendly or if they inform you that you’ve just won the lottery). Nobody likes to receive a call from a stranger – especially one who is trying to sell you something.

Cold calling is now one of the most ineffective ways to ‘market’ a product – by intruding into the privacy of a prospect that isn’t too keen on receiving your call. You will also need to overcome tremendous resistance and have nerves of steel (to withstand the rejection). It does nothing to educate the customer about your product and you won’t get very far with your sales force.

In the 21st century, the seller doesn’t go to the buyer – the buyer finds the seller and the ball SHOULD be on the seller’s court. If the buyer is the dictator, they will look down on the seller and it becomes very important to communicate the benefits of the product because they don’t have an open mind! So it becomes more important to optimize your communication to the buyer contacting you and feel a warm, sincere welcome from you. This must be optimized for your website, your help desk, your e-mail system and your phone system (so many internet businesses do not even list one).

People prefer to seek out their own merchants. All they need to do is switch on Google and type a few words into that little box. They don’t need a salesman to call them up.

Are you still using “cold calling”? What is your current experience?

The Best Products Do Not SELL Themselves

Just because you have the best product in the world doesn’t guarantee that you will be rich.

Several decades ago, there really weren’t many products around. Yes it is true that there are inventions like the light bulb or the discovery of electricity, but there really weren’t much competition for the Nobel Prize (if you get what we mean). Technology hasn’t reach the stage where innovation and ingenuity is conceptualized at today’s speed.

Today in the 21st century, better products are built on a daily basis. Just because you have a better product, doesn’t mean that the product will automatically sell itself and make you rich long term!

In the past, people weren’t swamped with tons of advertising. Anything new or better was easily noticed by the masses because there wasn’t much competition.

Today, if you have a better vacuum cleaner, insurance plan or even a car that can fly, you are fighting an uphill battle against the masses of advertising campaign and customer skepticism that it will take more than a few satisfied customers to make you rich.

You will need to get the word out to the people. You can’t just sit still – you need to focus on constant education to get along. You need to convey the benefits of your new product in such a way that people will want to buy YOUR brand over the other 37,000+ competitors out there.

The most important of all, you must learn to stand out! Show them that you are different, better and extraordinary. You must have a unique selling point and you must tell the masses all about it.

Do whatever it takes to ‘shock’ your audience and give them something to remember. There are many ways to make money today but any industry that is profitable will attract many other competitors into the market.

If you are in network marketing, it doesn’t help if you keep on talking about how good your network marketing company is. It doesn’t matter how great their product is or how well is the company’s background.

If you are with a good company, they probably know how good your company is. But the key question is this – if people consider to start a network marketing business, why should they join YOU and not the charismatic leader on stage with a thousand downlines in his team? In other words, what can YOU offer that will set YOU apart from the others?

Remember, people join YOU, not just the company! People buy your product because of how YOU differentiate your product from others!
